While the working conditions there are bad, I find it really hard to see the workers as the victims while they're literally dismembering the corpses of sentient and intelligent beings that only died for our pleasure. The animal farming industry is one of the cruelest things happening in the world and I think it's a shame that it's so widely accepted in our society.

Related to meat packing workers are slaughterhouse workers who often end up with PTSD from their work and become desensitized to the suffering of others. Animals are not the only victims of the meat industry.

What can we do, you ask? Join a union! The IWW can help. If there’s not a branch in your area, you can join the nearest one to you and they can help you organize your workplace and be able to fight back against the bosses. Our politicians, especially here in Texas (but, everywhere in the US, if we’re honest), are not going to help us. The owning class, the 1%, whatever you wanna call them, are doing everything in their power to make us forget one thing. They’re only one percent of the population. We need to stand together in solidarity and fight back.

Forbes magazine published an article titled, “China Killing Prisoners To Harvest Organs For Transplant: BMC Report Accuses China Of ‘Falsifying’ Data” by Zak Doffman, on November 16, 2019. The article states that China's claim of using a voluntary donation system for its billion-dollar organ transplant industry had been refuted by a report published in BMC Medical Ethics. Researchers found that the Chinese government falsified and manipulated official organ transplant datasets. The article states, “In June, I reported on the China Tribunal in London, which found evidence of 'forced organ harvesting' from Chinese prisoners, including Falun Gong and Uighur Muslims. The Tribunal’s final judgment concluded that this 'forced organ harvesting has been committed for years...on a significant scale.' China has said that the practice has been outlawed, replaced with a system of voluntary donations. But a new report, published on November 14 in the BMC Medical Ethics journal, has refuted this, alleging that those claims of reform are being supported by the 'systematic falsification and manipulation of official organ transplant datasets in China. “The China Tribunal used first-hand testimony from former detainees and implausible transplant availability and short waiting times to shape its findings. The witness reports were horrific-including organ extractions on live victims, subsequently killed by the procedures. A 2015 documentary claimed China’s illegal organ transplant industry is worth $1 billion each year-but China insists that forced extractions have stopped, that its efforts to reform date back to 2010, with a system of voluntary donations replacing forced organ harvesting from prisoners. “Not so, says the BMC article, claiming that China is 'artificially manufacturing organ transplant donation data.' The report says its findings mean that any trust in China’s organ harvesting system 'has been violated,' that the reforms were 'a mask for the continued use of non-voluntary donors or donors who are coerced into giving organs.' In short, the allegation is that the new system of voluntary donations operates alongside and not instead of forced extractions. The giveaway, according to the report, is patterns in the state’s data which are too neat to be genuine-they must be falsified. “Sources behind the forensic data analysis deployed by the report’s authors included the China Organ Transplant Response System (COTRS) and the Red Cross Society of China. Data found mathematical patterns that defy expected statistical anomalies. In others words, the official China reports emanate from a PR spreadsheet and not from any kind of genuine on the ground analysis and genuine data. “Susie Hughes from the International Coalition to End Transplant Abuse in China (ETAC), which initiated the China Tribunal, welcomed the findings, warning that the report 'exposes the lies and deception that mark China’s so-called transplant 'reforms.' The falsification of the China Organ Transplant Response System (COTRS) data appears to be part of an elaborate cover-up that disguises the state-run mass murder of innocent people for their organs in China.'...”

Other than these conditions you speak of how about employees' health and work conditions! Retired fireman and dealt with hazardous materials my whole career and one of their so-called own in this state! I have 3 separate accidents in front of my family's organic farm! I called 911 for all three accidents! Was the one telling them proper protocol! This is Criminal intent to public safety! The USDA, EPA, DOT all notified as a well-selected official of this state, county, the city even my county health department! No action takes 17 months now! Every Federal, State, Couty City law has been broken on called the Emergency Response guidebook for hazardous material spills and containment here in the USA! To mention highway damaged at one million dollars per mile for this federally funded county improvement to highway safety! All left on the highway in state-owned ditches as well neighbors 500-acre cattle ranch! Ruined my family's organic farm sure many in the county! Mainly beef cattle production farms, chicken, turkey factory farms in the region! Now 17 months all ear drink graze daily hazardous materials active spills remnants! Unknown material, unknown quantities, unknown distance traveled for all three accidents! No proper accident investigations do as called sweep under the rug slang incident! All because of money and politics! Now hundreds of people involved with Criminal Intent to Public Safety! Still not recovered here in my state of Missouri, USA! All companies listed in the Midwest as food production of everything including USDA agriculture produced here ion the midwest! Unfortunately, it will take someone to die to get the FBI or US Marshalls involved as contacted them from the beginning of this first accident! Innocent school children daily get on and off a bus here as kids dio play in water puddles! I notified local hospitals even the coroners of surrounding counties of toxic chemical poisoning or death! Told all contact FBI if someone does of this due to called HIPA laws I will never hear these facts! So check me out here and see the real deal of why people do of cancer or have a disease! This is why elected officials of this county, city, state elected officials thinking they have no accountability! Pandemic is the least of your're worry`s people as we are all doomed way before this happened! Waterways runoff drains, rivers, oceans well water, hayfields, evaporation of rain, snow, ice onto the next farm, state nationwide or global by now! All wildlife affected as federal laws broken too! I just had weather events since groundhog day now everything imaginable with feet of snow ice, severe weather, thunderstorms, tornados warning, straight-line winds, hail, sleet, ice storms, winter weather advisors! Even life-threatening weather as winter weather records broken regionally! Sunny & warmer past two days finally! Now everything runs 360 degrees off-farm as on the highest bluff here in my county! Be millions of dollars for a civil lawsuit as reached out to many attorneys over the years now! Any pro-bono attorneys or attorneys obtained for cancer patients' deaths and interested contact me off my page! Be safe!

Woe to them, then woe to them from the severe chastisement of the new extended-additional (virus)! Or do you think that your vaccines will protect you from the severe punishment of Allah from what you call it coronavirus?! How often have I swore to you in each explanatory-statement that my Lord will increase extended-additional (virus) after extended-additional (virus) of what you call it coronavirus? And I did not say to you that it will be modified, or will evolve, or will become different according to your claim. In fact, we said to you that it is soldiers from Allah the All Mighty, the Praised. And each virus is new extended-additional (virus) in addition to the extended-additional (virus) before it, in fact it is greater than the extended-additional (virus) before it and more annihilation and speed also faster plotting! Indeed, there is not turn back for Allah’s war until you declare surrendering then raise your hands towards the sky being submissive to Allah Lord of the worlds and abase yourselves, also beseeching Allah to remove His chastisement away from you in order to follow His Book so you would obey Allah’s khalifa the chosen from your Lord over you. You do not have a right of veto against decisions of Allah about selecting His khalifa, glory be to Allah the Great, the Exalted Most High beyond measures! He creates and chooses whom He pleases. To choose is not yours. Glory be to Him, the Exalted Most High beyond measures above what you associate (with Him). www.awaited-mahdi.com/forum/showthread.php?p=343421 #nasser_mohammad_alyemeni

You can't social distance in any way at a meat plant. - There is no way to do this and keep production at the level it is. If you take down production, some grocery store shelves will be empty. Politicians will never allow our production of meat to be safe. - They do not care, and the thousands and thousands of illegals that work in meat plants are willing to roll the dice for some cash. It will continue just the way it is, because that is what the overwhelming majority of the people that live in the USA want. Period.

11 years I haven't eaten a piece of meat and will never again. No one has to eat meat to live, less alone to survive. I am far from alone, some have been vegan since birth. If you eat well and do it right you are the healthiest person you can be. Don't forget cigarettes were offered in hospitals and Doctors prescribed them etc, back in the day! Think about it! It's all $$$$$$$$. No one needs meat to live. As Paul McCartney wisely said "if slaughterhouses had glass walls, everyone would be vegetarian".

Remember pink slime ? When ABC reported this story the meat industry sued ABC into silence . Fast food companies swore off " fillers " ( lean finely textured beef - LFTB - pink slime ) until Feb 21 2017 when the GOP forced the USDA to declare that LFTB is 100 % beef ; safe for consumption & exempt from food labeling laws . Since then fast food companies & grocers no longer have to tell you what's in your hamburger . Fast food companies can lawfully tell you there's no filler , regardless . There used to be an old saying " Anyone can sell a sh*t sandwich but the jig is up after the 1st bite . " Apparently , not anymore . Most people don't care . I kind of think that had the movie " Soylent Green " been released today that after Charlton Heston yelled " It's people ! " the response would've been " So what ... "
